- A 030 with zero-wait memory spends about 50% of the time on the bus in
- average programs. That's why you can safely add a few waitstates without
- reducing the performance significantly. Now, the A3000 memory already
- has waitstates that are ok for 25MHz operation. A 50MHz 030 obviously
- needs twice the memory speed and since you cannot simply make the
- motherboard faster the 50MHz 030 will suffer badly.

- That's because you take "MHz" for a performance measure. If you talk
- about data transfer speed you have to think in terms of bandwidth
- (for average performance values) and latency (important for worst
- cases).
